BurrellesLuce released a unique ranking chart featuring the circulation figures of the top 100 daily newspapers in the United States, plus the top 25 most popular English language blogs and consumer magazines. For the first time, BurrellesLuce is also including the traffic rankings of the top 25 social networking sites.

The newspaper data was compiled by BurrellesLuce from the Audit Bureau of Circulations' (ABC) figures for the six months ending September 30, 2008. U.S. consumer magazine data was compiled from ABC figures for the six month period ending June 30, 2008. The blog data is based on Technorati Authority Figures as of November 25, 2008 and the social networking ranks are based on Alexa's Traffic Rankings of Top U.S. Sites as of November 28, 2008.
